About HandyGal

As Raised by a remarkable single mother who epitomized resourcefulness, I learned the art of handyperson skills from a young age. But it wasn’t just within the confines of our home that I honed my abilities; a vast extended family of contractors, electricians, and plumbers imparted invaluable knowledge, enriching my understanding of the trade. 


As I pursued my BFA in studio art, I delved into the realms of theatrical set design and community mural creation. These experiences broadened my horizons, infusing my craft with creativity and vision. However, post-college, life led me down a different path—a stint in corporate America, driven by a desire to provide financial security for my child. I became quite successful in my corporate career, but over time I began grappling with a profound truth: the sacrifice of time with my daughter for financial gain was a cost too high.  


Determined to forge a life aligned with my values, I embarked on a new chapter, leveraging my skills and passion to build a business that not only sustains me but nourishes my soul. With each project, I find fulfillment in creative expression, independence, and above all, I am reminded that I am able to be the best mother I can be.
